When will my migration project officially start?

Once Databerry has completed your onboarding process you will meet with our Professional Services team to discuss the details of your project. Your chosen hosting company is responsible for setting up the required hardware, after which you will be contacted by an assigned technologist to go over the project details and schedule a date and time to commence the various phases of your migration project*. *Allow 1-2 weeks for scheduling of your start date, which is dependent on all related equipment being online and functional.

When will my hosting & server(s) and/or infrastructure be online and available for use?

To ascertain the date at which your hosting & server(s) and/or infrastructure will be available online, please contact your hosting company.

When will my onboarding process being with Databerry's professional service team?

Your onboarding process will begin once any new equipment and/or servers are live and fully operational. Scheduling will take place via email appointment.

What is the testing phase and how long does it last?

The testing phase requires up to 2 weeks and will allow you to test the features and functionality of your new environment using any of your company’s methods, procedures, and checklists. If additional time is required it must be approved by your hosting Account Manager, at which point your migration project will enter a grace period until you choose a date to take your project live*. *Once your project enters a grace period, it is at the discretion of Databerry to decide whether a change order (CO) is required for additional work.

When will my migration be finished?

Once the testing phase is complete, you will sign-off via email and identify your preferred dates and times to go live. The timeline required for this phase is estimated based upon the time needed to complete your baseline copy stage.

Who manages my DNS or domain changes for the migration?

Unless otherwise stated in the original scope of work (SOW) provided to you in the initial stages of your project, you are responsible for managing your project’s DNS updates and/or changes.

What happens to my old server(s) and or infrastructure or previous hosting provider?

Unless otherwise stated in the original scope of work (SOW) provided to you in the initial stages of your project, you are responsible for removing and/or decommissioning any old server(s) equipment or hosting services.

What if there are changes that need to be made to the original scope of work (SOW) during the migration process?

Databerry approaches changes to the original scope of work based on a case-by-case basis to evaluate whether you will require a change order (CO) that will allow us to provide further assistance with your migration project.

What is a CO (Change Order)?

A change order (CO) is when modifications and/or changes are made to the agreed-upon work outlined in an original contract. This allows us to perform additional work (if necessary) that is not initially defined in your contract to bring your project to completion. Your Account Manager or Sales Associate can easily assist you in updating your contract via a change order.
